I wanted to show you all what we are doing here at the farm. I will try to post pictures showing each stage of our harvest, depending on how busy I am. Right now all the trees have been tagged and sized. The cutters will go thru and cut the trees according to our buyers and our orders. Not all trees are cut at once. That way we can keep them as fresh as possible.
After they are cut, then they are carried and placed in slings. The helicopter will fly over the hooker who very quickly places the hook on the slings and the trees are carried either to shuttle trucks or to a landing where they will next be bailed.
But before they are bailed they have to be put on the shaker. That shakes most of the dry needles out. Then they are bailed and sorted by size. The next step is to load and ship. I will put more pictures as I have time.

It shows alot of Love goes into every tree...and it is cool how many different homes and people will enjoy them. But the main thing is that Christmas Tree's help celebrate Christ's birthday and I think that makes Dad very Holy. :) He might not have gone to church all the time, but you are right he probably knows more than us about God! And his "church and his praying" was when he was working with his tree's.
I sure miss him! Today I don't know what was with me, but for a second I thought, Dad needs to come get his hair cut. I really miss cutting his hair and making him wear the robot cape! And charging him $5.00 and him tipping me $35.00! He is the BEST! and so are you!

I read this little poem the other day and I think I showed it to you. I think this is Dad's take on Christmas.
"I still hear the songs, I still see the lights, I still feel your love on cold wintery nights, I still share your hopes and all of your cares, I'll even remind you to please say your prayers. I just want to tell you, you still make me proud. You stand head and shoulders above all the crowd. Keep trying each moment, to stay in His grace. I came here before you to help set your place. You don't have to be perfect all of the time. He forgives you the slip, if you continue to climb. To my family and friends, please be thankful today. I'm still close beside you, in a new special way. I love you all dearly, now don't shed a tear cause I'm spending my Christmas with Jesus this year."
I know this is true. Dad loves us and is proud of us. He and God are a good team. They are making us strong. Dad's love and spiritual presence must be pretty strong because I just can't make myself believe that he is not just a phone call away or just off enjoying himself somewhere and he'll be back soon. I miss him with all my heart, but I really have the best of both worlds with Dad in Heaven and you here. Don't think for a minute that we don't love you and need you the same way. You and Stacy are doing a wonderful job. I love to see the actually process of what the tree goes through before it gets to us. Mindy is right about how cool it is, on how many homes the Lamb trees are in.

We were once going to attempt the Christmas tree business when we were trying to buy a house with lots of acres, but when ended up not getting the property. Is that your property?
