Prayers for Diane

My friend Diane needs your prayers. Back in November she found a lump in her breast. After going to the doctor and having it checked out, it was found to be cancer. Yesterday she had surgery to remove her left breast and lymph nodes. She also had reconstructive surgery. It was a long process but she is resting now. The doctors said that it went well. She will be in the hospital for 5 or 6 days.

If you know Diane, she is one of the nicest people in the world. There isn't anything she wouldn't do for her family or friends. Heck, if you are her friend, you are her family. If you need help, she is there. If you want to have fun, she is there. She ALWAYS has hugs for you. I don't think I have ever seen her in a bad mood. I have been to her house many times when there are more people than there are chairs. Everyone loves to be at her house. There is always laughter and fun going on. That's just how she loves it. Tonight I will be having a slumber party in the hospital with her. I know she will be freaking out cuz she doesn't have make-up on. Maybe I should take my camera. No, maybe not. I know she will be feeling better soon and paybacks are not good.

Attached is Danielle's e-mail from last night.

Hello Everyone!
Momma got out of surgery at about 3:40 today, the first hour of surgery was the mastectomy. It didn't go completely as planned. Mom's fine, but instead of taking only 2 lymph nodes they had to take all of them. Because of the previous radiation, all of the blood vessels were intertwined with the lymph nodes and they couldn't differentiate all of them. So now there is a likely chance that mom's left arm will always be swollen, and somewhat painful. Dr. Bernardo also said she may be a likely candidate for chemotherapy!!! :( I just ask you ALL to pray with all your hearts that my sweet momma won't have to go through chemo unless it is God's will! The other 6 1/2 hours of surgery (the reconstruction) went beautifully. Mom's plastic surgeon is supposed to be a good one, thank you Lord!
I just got home from hanging out with mom and she is doing really well. She is DEFINITELY in a lot of pain, but she looks really good. She told me that this is the worst pain she's ever been in...and I was 9 lbs. 1 oz. and she had me naturally, and she has a high pain tolerance, I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through! Praise God she hasn't thrown up, not even once. When they give her, her pain meds she feels a nauseated, but she has not thrown up! So thank you ALL for praying!! I take soooo much comfort in knowing how many hundreds of prayers are going up for my mom! Our WHOLE family appreciates it soo very much! I will continue to keep you posted, please please please just keep praying for her, her pain, nausea, and all of that fun stuff that comes with recovery! My mind is kind of at a blur so if you have any questions, you can write me and I'll write back! Thank you all for everything you have done for my mom and all of us! You all of amazing blessings to us and I thank God for putting you in our lives!
ooxxoo!
Dani :)
By the way, She is at the Silverton Hospital, I've been asked a few times where she is at, so I don't know if she told you guys or not... :)

My prayers are with Diane. I sure hope and pray that they got all the cancer and she has a full recovery. She sounds like such a lovely person, I wish I knew her.

Big hugs, Sharon
